Hi umar00.
You are asking questions in the NZ forum and I assume you want answers about remaining in the UK ?
I'd advise you to ask the question in the correct forum - Europe then Britain Expat Forum for Expats living in the UK

hey guys. I have a question regarding the silver fern visa. On the NewZeland immigration website, it states:

'Do my qualifications meet INZ requirements?

-Qualifications Exempt from Assessment

-If your qualification is on this list, it does not need to be assessed by the New Zeland Qualifications Authority (NZQA).'

when i clicked on the 'qualifications exempt from assessment' option, i got a lost of some countries.
Now i did my bachelors of science from Pakistan, which is NOT on the list. And then i did my Masters from UK, which is on the list.
So my bachelors qualification is not on the list, but Masters qualification is. So do i need to get my bachelors degree assessed by NZ authority? PLZ ANSWER FAST THANKS

Hi,
With reference to all visas that ask for proof of qualifications.......

I think I'm right in saying that a person only claims the highest qualification they have not 2 or 3 etc.
i.e. In my case - my highest qualification award is BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from UK.
I have many others but don't consider them higher than the HND. If anything the others were qualifications that led to the HND course and therefore that is the only one I claimed on my Residency application.

So in your case, if you feel the Bachelor of Science from Pakistan is higher than the Masters from UK then claim that for Silver Fern and get it assessed by NZQA. Takes 20 days if you pay for the quick service.

However, if the Masters from UK (which is exempt from NZQA) is sufficient to satisfy the visa qualification requirement then why bother, just claim the Masters ?

Regards,
