I didn't know that we can submit the result after applying for SFJV.

One thing I'm confused, SFJV is on first-come-first-serve, or lottery?
Historically, when the SFJSV portal opened there was 300 visa's available and many thousands of people applying online for them so it was like a lottery.
The lucky people that got through weren't picked because of the merits of their individual application, it was simply luck of the draw getting through the online process......much like trying to buy concert tickets for a one night only Beyoncé concert!!!
A good few people even got through, entered payment details which were accepted only to be told at a later date that there had been an error and their application had actually been unsuccessful.
Due to the amount of people applying for this visa, Immigration has suffered many problems with the website crashing and the payment facility freezing etc. which has led to many problems and complaints about the process.

Because of these reasons, Immigration have come up with a completely new system for 2014 and no-one knows how it works. All we do know is the portal opens on the 20th November at 10:00 and it seems to be on a first come first served basis ?

Can I submit My EOI for Silver Fern and then apply for Skill Assessment?

Hi dungrani,

I plan to apply for silver fern job search visa in this 2015 as well, one question :

Based on what you've experienced yourself during your online registration for silver vern job search visa, , is there a kind of questions sentenced like this : "Have you assessed your qualifications with NZQA or is your qualification exempt from assessment??" with Yes or No Options

I want to know whether if we select no, then we can't continue our registration in silver fern job search visa online registration

Thanks

Regards,
Maybe ?
Normally you need IELTS minimum 6.5 overall to be eligible to apply, however since the rule for Silver Fern is you need to meet the same basic English language level as a skilled migrant visa principal applicant before application then you could use evidence of study medium entirely in English instead, however this is only accepted on a case by case basis at the discretion of immigration. You'd have much more certainty of meeting the requirement if you had IELTS.

Hi
I am planning to apply for Silver Fern Visa 2015.
My Bachelor Degree is exempt, but my Masters in not.
I haven't got it assessed yet. I do have the IELTS score.
Wanted to know if I can state my Masters as my highest Qualification and then get it assessed after selection?
Also, a silly question, but the payment can be made in local currency equivalent, right?
Thanks in Advance!

I'd say not.
The requirements state you must hold a recognized qualification of Bachelors or higher.
It is only your Bachelors that is recognized as you say your Masters needs assessment so I'd read that as you must state the Bachelors ?

http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra.../jobsearch.htm

However, I beleived that once through the selection stage and payment for SFV a person then has a period of time to provide the evidence stated at the application stage so a person could then go for qualification assessment. I thought Immigration had done it this way so an applicant didn't have to spend the best part of $800 going for assessment to then be unsuccessful since there's only 300 SFV available.
