Default Best route for me

Heya Folks. Hoping to have someone point int the right direction. After being in a similar situation before, I know its easy to waste time barking up the wrong tree. Here we go!

Me: Kiwi (NZ) national
Her: Canadian national

Been together 2 years, she would have been living with me 23 months in NZ come November. I am a registered electrician (industrial) with an Electrical Engineering Degree. I have had a work visa and working holiday visa in Canada some years ago (Snowboarding in the mountains)

Plan is to move to BC after when her visa expires in November. Ideally I'd be looking to have a work visa so i can work.

What options do I have given my relationship and or skills

Any info appreciated!!

Cam

Hi! I am not lawyer nor immigration consultant, so take this with pin of salt.
I think you may have 2 quite good options (among other options as Canada is having more than 60 immigration programs for different types of applicants):
- Family sponsor: She as Canadian citizen can sponsor you to get PR in Canada. Processing time for this route is about 12 months from the date IRCC acknowledge that they have received your complete application.
- Depends on you personal situation, you might be qualified for immigrate to Canada under Express Entry program. Processing time for this route is about 6 months from the date IRCC acknowledge that they have received your complete application.
If you can find a job in Canada, you can apply for Work Permit to come to work and live in Canada as foreigner, while waiting for your PR application to be processed.
You can easily find all information about it on canada(dot)ca, under Immigration section.
