Default How to start a new thread/Post your comment once/General posting etiquette

You can start a new thread from the UK Forum home page. On the left side of the home page just above the list of threads is a big green tab that says, “Post a New Thread”. Click on that tab to start a new thread and a new window will open.

Here is a link to the tab:

Expat Forum For People Moving Overseas And Living Abroad - Post New Thread

Do not post the same thing to multiple threads or multiple times in the same thread. This is spamming the forum and it’s against forum rules. Post your question or comment once in one thread only.

Bumping your thread: Please remember that everyone volunteers their time here. Everyone is anxious for their thread to get attention Please give members a reasonable amount of time before bumping your thread. 24 hours is a reasonable amount of time. If after 24 hours you have not received a response, then bump your thread.

Weekends The forum tends to be quiet on weekends so you will need to be extra patient as in all likelihood your post will not be seen until Monday.

(Apologies to Joppa for messing up the previous post on this subject.)
