Default Your visa will be dispatched shortly....

For my husbands visa, we sent off last Friday, 6 June 2014 from Taipei to Manila for processing. Today is Tuesday 10 June, not including the weekend, it took them 1.5 days to process, we paid for priority service and we received the email just after lunch today that says 'Your visa will be despatched shortly...." Can somebody please enlighten me as to the true meaning of this sentence??? I would like to think it's been granted, any recent experiences? I don't want to think we have it only to be disappointed, also the processing time of 1.5 days is hard to believe even for priority visas, this whole thing has been rather emotional already.

All you can do is wait. It probably has in fact been issued but on occasion incorrect emails are sent.

It's end of the day on Wed 11 June, we received our approved visa today!!! I am very surprised at how fast and efficient they can be and I am very glad we paid for the priority service. Good luck to all of you who are still in the process of it all. Thank you Joppa and Nyclon for all your great advice on this forum, couldn't have done it without everyone sharing their experiences. We got 1 Sept for the start date so the latest we can go to UK is 1 Dec, correct? My husband needs to give 3 months notice for work resignation so I am relieved we don't have to rush. One more question, do we get the photos back? I always thought we would but they didn't send it back, can I still ask for them? Now time to start planning relocation!!

Latest you are advised to arrive in UK is 1st December, as it still leaves you 30 months on the visa to meet the residence requirement for the renewal.
You can ask the photos back, but did you send copies? If they were digital photos and you still have the files, you don't really need them.

Hi , we will be applying from Malaysia (to Manila), can you tell me how much priority service was from Taiwan as the VFS website just gives me an error message when I try access that page? USD will do and it's just for budget purposes at this stage as I'm sure it differs between countries!

And Congrats on the quick visa !!!

NTD 15300 or around $510, same as in US and Canada.
