Default Bank statements

Hi all

Can bank statements submitted for indefinite leave to remain be online statements printed? They have the bank logo etc. On my husbands last two applications I had original paper statements but I turned this option off stupidly (forgetting i had another Visa to apply for!)

Thanks in advance for your help

hi if the bank statements are online ones you have to take them to the branch and stamp evrey page or get a lettre from the branch confirming that the statements are authentic.

Thank you for replying. My bank (lloyds) has said that they are only letting customers enter the bank for specific reasons (due to covid 19.) Unfortunately they say printing bank statements is not one of them! My online statements look identical to an original statement (there is the bank logo etc). I wonder if, in these circumstances, the home office would allow us to just apply using them as long as I explained in a cover letter or something?

Thanks again for your advice

Hi dear,as per my knowledge ,no need to get your statements stamped, you get your statements online just attach them as it is , in your documents section.

Just get the head office to send the statements out in the post to you, the days of getting it stamped is no longer required. You can always mention this in a cover letter for peace of mind.

Thank you! So if I do that (get head office to send the copies), is there really any difference in me printing them myself? Not asking to be awkward but Lloyds online statements look exactly the same as the official ones you get through the post.

If you get the statements from head office, then you don't need to print them off.

I'm with HSBC and it's the same with me - the online bank statements look almost identical to the printed ones, but when the bank sent me the printed ones, they had some subtle changes (like codes up the side of the page) and the pages were slightly larger than A4.

Just get the bank to send you the statements - mine arrived within a week.
