Default UK citizenship-which documents?

Can anyone help me with which documents we need to upload for proof of residence for the naturalisation application? (Spouse route-Our Set(M) was recently approved).

We submitted today 30 January 2020, so need to provide proof of residence since 30 January 2017.

Must we have an employer letter for the applicant or will utility bills and bank statements covering the 3 years, together with the applicant's passport be enough?

Applications made on the basis of residence in the United Kingdom
Evidence of lawful residence during the 5 years (or, if the applicant is married to or in civil partnership to a British citizen, 3 years) before the date of the application.
• Your passports
• If you are unable to provide your passport explain why and supply letters from
employers (including start and finish dates), payslips, P60s, educational
establishments or other government departments indicating the applicant’s presence in the United Kingdom during the relevant period If your passport is not stamped when you come into the United Kingdom, for example because you have a right of abode in the United Kingdom or you are a national of the “Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus” or Taiwan, you must provide
your passport and also provide alternative evidence of residence as above. If you
are an EEA national, you must additionally provide the information listed below.

Thank you. I thought the passport was sufficient, but so many people mention employer letters and HMRC letters that I started to worry. This confirms it, the passport suffices.

Some people include employment documentation as additional proof that they have lived in the UK for the required period - especially if their passport does not have the relevant stamps incoming stamps.....
