Default Proof of accommodation, council tax etc

Hi everyone,

Is it ok to send off my council tax statement issued this year (April I think they're sent out) or do they need something more recent? I do have a document from the council showing my change of name with contact details (albeit just printed on plain office paper nothing 'official' looking but she said that's what they give people).

Do I need to send anything else, I have a mortgage statement from with my new name covering the last 6 months, is that ok or do they need longer, do they need my actual mortgage document from when I bought this place?

What about utility bills?

Thanks for any comments.

All the stuff you mentioned is useful, assuming that the name change is well-documented elsewhere and won't be confusing. If you own the place you can presumably also get a document from the Land registry too - most people recommend the one that's 3 pounds online.

Thanks, will have a look at that.

Name change is explained on our wedding certificate and will be on my bank statements, work letter etc.
