Default Premium appointment booking wait times? SET(M)

Hi all, my visa is up January 1st and I was planning on applying for a premium service appointment for (SET)M somewhere around London. Does anyone know what the wait times for appointments are like currently? I read somewhere here that someone applied on Nov. 10th and the earliest appointment was Dec. 10th! So I'm a little worried I'm running out of time before travel during the holidays plus i haven't take my Life in the UK test yet.

Just to add I don't care if I have to travel outside of the city to get an appointment. More important that I can get it before the 1st (as I am planning on travelling for xmas)

you will need to pass your test before you submit your application

the appointment vary from city to city but usually if you are willing to pay around 100 you will get one sooner rather than later will depend on availability

furthermore your date of application is the key so when you press submit onto the online HO website, your sopra appointment could be serveal weeks after but will not impact you application date. eg apply 20 December but no appointment until late jan, you will be fine

Yeah the issue is I want to travel for the holidays and would ideally like my SET M to be done before then. I just couldn't apply any earlier and got stuck in this super inconvenient application window

Hi Aphrodite_1, I guess that's my post that you were talking about. My friend booked her appointment this week and she paid 100 more and got appointment in Manchester in two weeks. Availability and price will be different depending on the location you choose but there is hope! Hope this helps.

I know of several people who applied this fall (august-october) and had no problem to book even free appointments in Scotland (Glasgow or Edinburg), even in the same week.
Probably Scotland sounds almost like Australia, but EasyJet flies there in 50 minutes and often costs not more then 50-60

Yeah, I guess traveling is an option. Ideally, I'd like something closer but that may not be an option.

If anyone manages to book a SET(M) premium service appointment in the next week or so in London I'd be curious to know what the earliest available appointment is.

we did the premium lounge one near Bank this morning - we booked it last night, so many free appointments, I believe due to the higher cost - however the cost drops from 175 to 125 if you book the day before

We had our result (success) emailed just under 2 hours after our appointment
