Default No email but got BRP letter from Home Office...

Had my Biometrics taken for ILR on July 5th and have not heard back since. However this evening I came home to a letter dated October 4th saying that my BRP will be sent to me within 7 days. I haven’t had any emails from the Home Office saying my application was approved - does this physical letter means it was? I really hope so!

"Thank you for your application for Indefinite Leave to Remain. A Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) will be sent to you under separate cover. You should receive your permit within 7 working days" -?

That's the opening of the letter we got after an approved ILR.

Have you checked your junk mail?

Nothing in my junk mail.

Mine starts off immediately with:

“A Biometric Resident Permit will be sent to you under a separate cover. You should receive your permit within 7 working days.”

There was no mention of “approval” or “indefinite leave to remain”. I assume it was approved, otherwise why would I get a BRP but I am worried that something might have gone wrong and I was granted another extension instead.

If you've applied for ILR and had no communication other than this letter, hopefully that means that it's nothing but a straightforward approval.

Hope you get your BRP soon!
