Default UKVI Appt for SET(M)

Hi All,

MY current visa expires on 4th November, which is around the same time I attend to go on maternity leave.

I've submitted and paid for my SET(M)/ILR application this evening.

Croydon didn't have any free appointments until the end of October, so I went ahead and paid for one in Central London for mid-October.

Is this when/where I will do my biometrics? If so, how long after will be until I get my new card?

HR has been in touch and has said they need a new BRP. I'm afraid not having this before I go on maternity leave will effect my leave/pay.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Did you pay for the priority service?

How can you see free appointments near end of October when I am trying to book mine it is only showing dates 2 weeks in advance and every time a new date is added (very early morning) it says there are no appointments so they have already been taken .... is the only way to book through the website

I was able to just keep clicking through the weekly dates on the website. I'm in London Croydon Core didn't have free appts until the end of the month, so I went ahead and paid for an appt at an enhanced location in Central London. Paid more for piece of mind.

Hi gatrgurl305, my HR department tried the same malarkey with me- saying they needed a new BRP before my old one expired. I did end up paying for super priority processing and my old BRP expires on 09/11/19 and I think it should be arriving today (my biometrics appt was Oct 2nd in Manchester).

You should have received a Unique Application Number (at the top of confirmation pdfs) when you submitted your application online. I am under the impression that your employer can check with this to see your right to work on the .gov right to work checking site online.
And your application is considered in processing once you submit online and you have the right to work under Section 3c of the Immigration Act 1971.
A valid, in time application for another UK visa, gives you the same right as your previous visa until your new visa is appoved by UKVI.

I had to write this out to my employer as they had wrong info and I would not put it past them to stop pay!

If you have any problems you can always contact your MP for help with this
