Default court hearing - spouse visa granted

Hello members,

There was a court hearing on 31st July, 2019 for spouse visa and the judge verbally said he will approve our case but till now no notification is received from Home Office regarding the verdict. How long does it take for the notification to be relased and which number can i contact for a follow up with them?

Regards,
Mustafa

Hi Mustafa,

On what grounds were you taken to court? Just intrigued.

Hi Rahim,

Home Office was insisting that my wife does not fulfill the financial requirements to sponsor me, whereas she was fulfilling them and she proved them wrong in court.

Ah okay. Sounds like a blunder on their end. Hope it all goes well. If you meet the financial requirements and you’ve submitted all evidence on time then i wouldn’t worry.

Hi rahim,

Thanks for the link, i spoke to them over the phone yesterday and they said they cannot give a definite date when notification will be sent. They said it may take a "few weeks" and that it will be sent to my lawyer in UK. So i guess will have to wait till then..

Dear all,

i received a letter from the judge confirming the decision is in my favour. My questions are:

a. Will the Home Office challenge the decision?
b. If decision is not contested, how many days till i can hand it my passport for visa stamping?

Regards,
Mustafa

Why don't you ask your lawyer?

Thanks for the very insightful reply @Nyclon. Yes i shall do that.

However, i wanted to ask other people what their experience was and how many days they had to wait in a similar situation.
