Default SET(M) - Consent for Home Office verifications

Hi all, I've been reading contradicting information online concerning this.

The only 'declaration' that the online application and the UKVCAS is requesting is a "Declaration signed by partner" document for ILR - SET(M).

However, I keep seeing other posts where people are saying you must give consent in other documents for the home office to conduct verification checks? Is this true?

I really don’t know but many of us download the consent forms anyway and submit them. This is the link we used but someone who has applied more recently might be able to confirm. We filled just Part 1 and 2
