That iat website is correct.

If you and you British spouse reside in Germany or any EU state of which the EU spouse is not a national then you would enter using EU regulations. You would then be issued with a Residency Card under EU regulations. This card is called an Article 10 Residency Card and will state "This card is issued to a family member of an EU citizen".
This card can be used in lieu of a visa to travel between UE countries with your spouse.

You, however relocated to the UK with your British spouse. As he is a national of the UK, the UK domestic immigration laws will apply and not EU regulations. You will be issued with a Residency Permit under UK domestic law and it cannot be used in lieu of a visa.

I hope this clears this matter up once and for all.

I just gave an easy explanation that states you cannot use the UK RC in lieu of a visa as it was issued under UK domestic law and not under EU regulations.
YOU WILL NEED A VISA.
