Default Visa for unmarried partner of UK citizen

Hi guys,

I've been carefully assessing the requirements for getting my Vietnamese girlfriend a UK partner visa.

The only stipulation I can see so far that might be an issue is the part saying that I need to have confirmed offer for a job in the UK starting within 3 months of return.

As I'm a freelance writer working internationally, how does this work?

Thanks!

You would have to meet the requirements as self-employed. Otherwise look at the cash savings route (you need 62,500 and can combine savings with your partner)

Thanks for the quick reply clever-octopus!

Any idea where I can find the requirements for being classified as self-employed?
