Default ILR 10 Year Route Success (Non Priority)

Hi All,

I just wanted to come on here to say a massive Thank You for all the help and support the forum gives. I have recently had my Indefinite Leave to Remain approved and just wanted to update my timeline for anyone who may be going through a similar thing.

Fairly straight forward history with Tier 4 Student, Tier 5 Youth Mobility and Unmarried Partner Visas (I applied for 10 year route prior to Unmarried Partner Visa 5 year route expired) Days out of the UK was 466 days over the 10 year period I was applying to qualify for.

I wanted to apply at the end of last year around Nov time but couldn't book a priority service, which I assume was because of the change of service.

Made the application through the new system 31st December.
15th Jan Visa appointment in Croydon. Uploaded all documents myself and made this very clear with each file name and date and uploaded to relevant areas. Brought all documents with me as well to the appointment. Had biometrics taken and sat in waiting area to be called up. Had passport scanned and was complimented on how organised my filing was. Hahah.

Acknowledgement email 16th January, follow up email 29th January and 29th March.

Received a DX Delivery email on the 10th April and received BRP on the 11th April. Follow up letter recieved 11th April (dated 7th April) with information about BRP and confirmation I have been approved for ILR.

All in all fairly quick as I believe I was a fairly straight forward case. It was bit of an anxious wait as I didn't have any real communication from the home office but very happy to have gotten through the process fairly quickly and without any trouble.

Hope this helps anyone that's going through the 10 Year route process!

Big thanks to this forum and next up is Citizenship!
