Default ILR English language test

Hello forum
just wanted to confirm that i can use the IELTS certificate i used for FLR (M) (Oct, 2016) for my ILR application (Apr, 2019)

Quote from Appendix_FM_Section_1.21: A partner or parent applying for leave to enter or leave to remain is not required to provide evidence of meeting the English language requirement if they have done so as part of a successful previous application as a partner

Just wanted to check i understood this paragraph correctly

Thanks

You don't say what certificate you have, the requirement for ILR is a B1 level pass.

If it's at least a B1 level qualification and the test centre is still on the approved list then yes.

Default FLR and English Test to repeat?

My wife did an English Test (IELTS Life Skills Grade B1) for her initial marriage Visa to UK. We are now happily married and at the 30 month stage, preparing for the FLR(M). Does she need to repeat her test? The Gov.com info suggests she does not, but I would hate to lose the Visa fee, vs the test cost of GBP150. Any advice please? Thanks Jeff

No, you can't.

You question has been answered already.
If you read my post or check the guidelines on the Government website you will see that for indefinite leave, you need a minimum English language B1 level qualification or higher.
The pass level is higher for ILR.

i have got my Life in the UK test Pass notification letter

Applying in Oct 2016 the requirement for FLR(M) was to pass A2. The British Council test centre where i sat the test in Edinburgh did not allocate the grades, they just indicate if I pass A2, or fail.

If I knew that B1 will be required I would have sat B1 test.

Can I use the language test IELTS I used for entry clearance (exam date 05-Jan-2013)
Test centre is still in approved list (AZ001), level: Listening 6.5, Reading 6.5, writing 6.5, speaking 7.5, Overall score: 7

please confirm,
i wouldn't want to pay 150£ for an exam that i sat twice already

thanks in advance

Your IELTS has expired in Jan 2015, hence certificate isn't valid and won't be accepted by UKVI.

Take B1 from list of approved test centers.

So what this statement from GOV.UK is about then? : "Applying to settle in the UK
You can use a B1 level qualification thatís run out if both of the following are true:

itís on the current list of recognised tests
it was accepted for another UK immigration application, for example when you got permission to enter"

this is about expired certificates

Please can the experts confirm
thanks

Well, you could use your expired certificate if both conditions met. Today, I applied for citizenship and provided fresh B1 cert, instead of my 8 years old IELTS cert, which I used for entry clearance and ILR. Though it's still acceptable, I decided it really doesn't worth 150 quids to jeopardise my case. You know people make mistakes, and UKVI caseworkers aren't exception. Just weigh risks.
