Default Us citizen married to italian

Hi, i am italian and currently married to a us citizen.we have been married for 2 years and cannot start the italian naturalization process until 3 years of marriage.. We are living in usa but considering a move to the Uk next year.
While i can work in the Uk as i have an italian passport, my husband only has a US passport.
Can i sponsor him or does he needs to be sponsored by a business in order to be' able to work and live in Uk?
Thank you!!
L

He should apply for EEA family permit: UK Border Agency | EEA family permits

Yes. And should apply for residence card in UK, valid 5 years.

Yes, as you would be transferring for EU rights to your husband. Upon arrival and after sorting out the basics (National Insurance Number, Bank Account, Registering to your local GP, applying for jobs), apply for your Residence Certificate using form EEA1 and for your husband's Residence Card using form EEA2.

To make his application stronger, make sure you have a job -part time is enough- and have both of your names on the Council Tax bill.

Also, make sure that before you submit his application to get a certified copy(ies) of certified his US passport.

Animo
(Cheers)
