Default Spouse Visa Job Offer

Hi,

Gathering research and can't seem to find anything on this.

We would apply based on Cat B. I've not been with my job 6 months as I just started a new one, but I have made more than the 18,600 over the past 12 months, and I have a job offer within a month of landing.

Here lies the confusion - I currently work for a company based in the USA and they are looking for someone to represent them in the UK as an EMEA rep this year and they offered it to me. I will pay UK taxes and be based in the UK (remotely), however the company itself will still be based in the USA so any letter head with the offer letter or anything would be from a US address.

Will a UK job offer with a company based only in the US still meet the requirement or does the company actually have to be based in the UK?

Thanks ahead for the help!

Your question is covered in the following:
Quote:
5.5.12. Where the applicant’s partner is working overseas and transfers with the same employer to a job in the UK, that employment may be used to meet both the overseas employment income and the confirmed job offer in the UK required under Category A or Category B.

Thanks Joppa - I did see this in the appendix but I wasn't sure on the wording as it states:
"working overseas and transfers with the same employer to a job IN the UK"

I wasn't sure if that meant the company had to be based in the UK or if working for a USA based company but being located in the UK would meet the requirement?

It can be an overseas-based company. I have seen people approved for visa on that basis.
