Default Submitted Subclass 176 and CO not assigned yet

Hi,

I've submitted my 176 application on 23 November 2011.

Occupation : System Analyst
State Sponsor : SA

My agent has submitted all supporting documents and Medicals.
According to this site
Allocation Dates for General Skilled Migration Applications
It states that the applications submitted before 27 Nov 2011 have been contacted by CO.
According to that statistic my agent should has been contacted by a CO.
But my agent told me my application has not assigned a CO yet.

Therefore, I am a bit confused by statistics. Does it means that only some application submitted before 27 Nov has been contacted?
I am quite sure I should belong to Priority Group 3.

Any advice?

You are in d same situation as the user 'varunsal'...looks like der r few applications within this date where the CO has nt yt been assigned. I would suggest you to call the DIAC call center tomorrow and confirm the present status. (you can ask your agent to do so if he is willing to help u) or if u know the TRN u can directly call up.

Good Luck.. cheers !!!

Thanks MaddyOZ,
DIAC web site only provide a link to enquiry by email...
https://www.ecom.immi.gov.au/inquiry...action=contact

Do you mean, I can actually call a phone to DIAC? Can kindly share the phone number (or the link that state the contact).
I am a bit concerned about my application status.

Good Luck.
I have informed my Agent first and the agent told me that there is nothing to worry about that and the CO will contact in a few week time.
And also told me that a few other clients are also like that.

Yes, but if you are curious to know why the CO is not yet assigned as the DIAC dates says upto 27th nov all applications have been contacted by CO. Then you may still dial in and talk to the DIAC Call center. No harm.

Good Luck.

what is the next step after a CO is assigned ?
I mean does he usually wrap up a case (grant the visa) in one month or is he at liberty to take as long as he likes ?

1) Documents Verification
2) Request for additional documentation with 28 days timeframe
(Special request to increase the deadline for the applicants may apply here)
3) Documents reverification
4) Finalize the case
5) Decision notification

This may also include External checks for HR countries which is not in CO's discretion about the timeline for this action.

If all Docs Met including PCC, Medicals on the day1 of CO assignment, then CO has no reason to keep it with him in the backlog. The earlier you action it, the better your chances are to get the PR finalized by the CO.

Good Luck! Cheers
