Default EOI : Date of Effect

Hi Friends,
I have a question about my EOI. I submitted EOI for visa 189 with 60pts for Software Engineer (261313) with Date of Submission & Effect was 16/Jun/2015.
Now, my current EOI got updated with 65 Points.
Scenario is:
My Wife Primary applicant for 189 Visa and myself as Dependent so total point we claimed was 55+5 (i.e. 30 Age + 15 BTech + 10 PTE for 7 score AND 5 partner point).
For my wife total experience till 16 June was 4.8 years and she resigned on June 17, 2015. While submitting EOI we provided just start date as she was working during that timeframe, and once she resigned we forgot to update EOI with her Last End Date.
And yesterday, if she was working she could have completed 5 years and system understand same and allocated 5 more points to our EOI and updated Date of Effect as "22/09/2015".
My question is since my wife is not working now and we are not supposed to claim 5 extra points which got allocated today morning to our EOI. If I revert back changes by updating End Date for her employment and which will again make us on 60 Points, will the Date of Effect will be remain same or it will also get reverted back to June 16, 2015.
Whether IMMI provides invitation based on Date of Effect date... I have already waited for almost 5 months for invite to receive and if Date of Effect will not updated back to June 16, means I might have to wait for another 5-6 months to receive my invitation for 189 Visa subclass which will be disaster for me.
Thank you guys, I am panicking. Please suggest and provide your valuable feedback.

hi manish,
this can be a costly mistake for your case. I mean forgetting to put the end date if your wife resigned from currnet job.
System will not know this and would automatically increase the points.
when the points are changed or auto updated the date of effect would also change.
if your points got changed yesterday to 65 I think your date of effect would also have been changed to yesterdays date . with 65 points you would have been confirmed to get an invite in the next round.
now coming to your case you need to change it back to 60 immediately before invitation as it could be considered wrong information to claim extra points and later on your VISA can be rejected based on that as you will be asked to give proofs for your current organization. if a verification happens and they come to know your wife resigned long back then it is a case of fraud and considered to be very bad scenario.
if you change back your points to 60 now then I fear your date of effect would become todays date. ie 22 sep and you will be long behind in the pool for invitations and may need to wait a long time based on the current scenario.
and yes IMMI provides invitation based on date of effect. so if there are many people in 60 points people who lodged earlier will be invited first.
but higher points people 65 and above are usually confirmed to get an invitation in the next round itself.
your hope now is to somehow mange to increase your points like by giving PTE again and getting 20 points for English so you have better chances of being invited.
else prepare to wait for 3-4 months.

Hi,
I don't think loyalty will matter here. the points and date of effect is system dependent.
I doubt if IMMI can help you in this as this is your mistake.
anyway all the best for your application

5-6 months of wait would be worthy as not to get the visa at all.

Best of luck.

Like suku has already explained, why not plan for increasing the English score, so that you can add 10 more points, to make it 70? That way, you can get the invite in the very next round. And now that we have 2 rounds per month, you will stand a chance to get invited on 23-Oct, provided you take up PTE and get 79, throughout. Else, you will have to wait a long time..

Default Updating EOI with new English score

Hi Everyone,

I have a question regarding updating my EOI. I have submitted my EOI at 70 points in Nov 2018 with my PTE score as S:89, W:77, L:72, R:69 at that time. Post that I reappeared for PTE again and got a score of S:87, W:83, L:75, R:82.

(1) Would it be advisable to update my EOI with revised english score considering there wont be any change to my overall points? (will be still at 70 points).

(2) In case I revise my english score, will it change my date of effect to today's date or it will still have date of effect as Nov 2018?

Regards,
Manan Vora
