Default SA Financial capacity evidence

Dear All

I have two questions regarding SA SS financial capacity requirement

(a) Will Immigration SA ask for proof of financial capacity at any stage?
(b) Immigration SA states 'these funds must be available upon arrival in SA', do they check availability of funds (min AUD $ 25,000) when an immigrant arrives? if yes how somebody can carry such a big amount? cash, travelers check or bank transfer?

If somebody can share his / her experience regarding above or shed some light on it will be great help.

Thank you

I vaguely seem to remember that once your case progresses, they ask you to submit bank statements. They then see if you have had this amount in your bank for 3 months or more. But you should wait for somebody else to affirm this.
