It's been awhile since I've drank much Aussie beer, but I rather like Boag's. For non-Aussie, I'm a big fan of Augustiner (Munich, Germany) and Pyramid Hefeweizen (Berkeley, California).

For Aussie beer you can't go past the Tasmanian ones 'Boags or Cascade".... but also agree the JD and coke is pretty damm good:-)

There's a New Zealand beer that I like to buy here, but for the life of me I can never remember the name. I only recognize the bottle LOL

I like Moretti La Rossa but I'm having a hard time finding it in bottleshops here.

My hubby has taken a shine to Hammer n Tongs draught beer in a can, he loves it.

Me, i am enjoying a whole new world of Aussie gooseberry wine.

Hi....Nice of you to remember me....I am recognising some familiar names too!

We are just submitting our TRA application, so still a long way to go, but boy was that a hard slog!

Hi Kelly, it's a long hard impatient road and you will feel like it's never going to end but it will and you'll get there.

I see you've not decided between the Sunshine and Gold Coast yet?

Want a piece of advice?

There is not a lot of work in the Sunshine Coast, the Gold Coast would be a far better choice at this moment in time. Also, the Sunshine Coast is great for a holiday but it's just too far away and seems the middle of nowhere compared to Brisbane or the Gold Coast.

Just letting you know how it is, we have friends up in the Sunshine Coast and they are returning to Ireland and one of the reasons being the lack of work up there and the fact that it is TOO much like a holiday resort.

Hope this little piece of info helps you along the way. Good luck and let us all know how you are getting on. Take care
