Post Skill Migration Subclass 190

Hello!
My name is Sarah Alvi, I am 29 years old and I am planning to move to Australia. I gave my IELTS test and scored 7, 6.5, 6.5, 7 and over all 7. I have done B.E. in Telecommunication from Pakistan. I have total 5+ years of experience in a telecommunication company, which is some what related to Telecommunication Network Engineer and I also feel like I have the job description of Computer Network and Systems Engineer. My points are as under:

Age: 30
Qualification : 15
Experience (5 Years): 10
ENGLISH: 0
-----------------------------
Total: 55

For the reason I was interested in SA in applying for state sponsorship, by which I can get 5 points and I do have some first cousins in SA, so that would also be beneficial for me.

I have been working on CDR's. I have completed the all 3 Career Episodes, currently, I am having problem in fill up the summary statement. Now, I am thinking to get my assessment from ACT because of two reasons.
1- EA takes lot of time & summary statement is hell of a job.
2- SA has put some special condition over telecommunication network engineer.

I need your guidance and looking for answers of following questions.

1- If I am assessing myself from ACT, what experience would I be getting? (-2 year or -4 year)? cause I am not sure about minor and major ICT degree in both ways I would be losing points on Experience.

2- And if I am getting myself assessed from EA, what are the chances for getting rejected?

Help required as I am pretty confused. Thanks.

Hello Sarah

I don't have much experience with EA or ACS but I would strongly recommend you to reappear in IELTS or try PTE exams to get the language points. This is the best option in my opinion though it may require you to aggressively prepare for the exams but it would be worth the efforts. Your score is not too bad and with some practice you will get 7 in each module of IELTS.

I am suggesting this because both of the occupations you mention are on the SOL. If you get a positive assessment in any of the occupation and 10 points on language criteria , you can apply for the 189 visa .

Regards

PS I have read somewhere that telecom engineering will be considered ICT minor and 4 years experience will be deducted. not sure of this though. Seniors please comment !

AA,

First you should get positive Skill assessment in Computer Network and Systems Engineer (263111). The special condition will disappear on July 1,2015. Then you can apply for state sponsorship for South Australia. But make sure you get ready all your required documents for state sponsorship before the July 1,2015 to maximize your chances for getting state sponsorship.

Regards
Irfan

Thank you everyone for the replies.
The information is somewhat helpful, but I am not sure about my degree comes in which category, major or minor ICT?
