Default will bankruptcy affect getting independant visa?

hi, i am looking to immigrate to Australia in the near future with 2 friends, i have been having problems paying my mortgage in the uk and will possibly have to have my house repossessed and may have to go bankrupt!
will this effect me applying for a independant regional visa - subclass 495??
if so what about a working holiday visa??
any help is very much appreciated as it is my dream to do this when i am financially stable and have gone back to college to get a trade

Hi there,

I'm pretty certain that a persons financial circumstances are not relevant when applying for a 459 visa.

I shouldn't think so. The Aussie government doesn't care about your financial situation as long as you are able to support yourself when you get here (they don't want you to become a burden on the system, which is fair).

Unless there's some weird rule in the UK where a bankruptcy ends up going on your criminal record -- seems unlikely -- the Australians will probably never even know about it.
