Default Flying from Delhi to Canberra (Airbus A 330 or Boeing 777)

Hi all,

Can anyone please share their experiences.

I am thinking of flying with Singapore airlines from Delhi to Canberra in 3rd week of Feb 2014 with husband.

I had shortlisted 2 options

1 Delhi- Canberra
They have 2 stops, 1 at Singapore and other at Melbourne. (Boeing 777- 300 ER from Singapore to Melbourne)
Baggage is 40 + 7 kgs.
Travel time - 23 hrs

2 Delhi - Canberra
They have 2 stops, 1 at Singapore and other at Brisbane. (Airbus A 330-300 from Singapore to Brisbane)
Baggage is 40 + 7 kgs.
Travel time - 25.30 hrs

If anyone travelled with them recently kindly share their experiences, i mean
whether to select Airbus A 330-300 or Boeing 777- 300 ER

Thanks

Hello,
Both of them have pros and cons.

A 330 has 2-4-2 configuration in Singapore Air. So if your seat is in the row of 4 and all of them are occupied then you might hear the snore or any other co-passenger voice as they are sitting pretty close to you. But if you manage a window seat then you only have to bear with one person.

On the other hand 777 has 3-3-3 configuration. So your chances of being in the middle seat is pretty high here.

Anyway Singapore has better customer service than many others.

Book A 330 till singapore atleast and experience the fun. By the way, you can choose the seat on your own from website. The upper deck has 2_3_2 trio and cabin is also narrow as compared to lower deck if you dont prefer crowded cabin. Book 777 from singa to melbourne and Experience that as well to find the difference.
