Default Thumbprint on NBI clearance

I was in the Philippines for about 2 years and therefore require NBI clearance. My clearance letter does not have the thumbprint - which I understand is normal. I also understand that I need to affix the print before uploading.

Is it okay to take a stamp pad and do the print myself or should I take help from the local police station? (I'm currently in Singapore)

Thank you!

The thumb printing is done on the NBI Clearance Application Form. It's not something that you do yourself. It is done either by a staff from Philippine Embassy or from Singapore Police Force. Once they're happy with the thumb prints, only then will they "certify" your application. Then you send it over to NBI in the Philippines for processing. Once your application is processed, you will then receive an NBI Clearance that looks like the below:

Note: not mine.

The NBI Clearance itself DOES NOT have your thumbprint. You scan it in color then submit / upload it to DIBP.

Hope this clarifies.

Yes it does clarify. I'm aware the clearance does not have the thumbprint, because mine doesn't either :-)

However, on the NBI website it said something on the lines of "affix your thumbprint before submitting to the end user". Since you have a grant, I guess I'll just follow what works!
