I get the invitation 14 Apr . Now i'm wondering when to apply for police clearance certificate ? This can take time to obtain, will DIAC wait ? And also, I lived in Seychelles for 2 years 2005-2007, I already have a police clearance certificate obtained 2011 , will that be valid?

Hello Poojitha,

# when to apply for PCC - It is best to have a police clearance certificate on hand while application is filed, so that it does not make the Case officer wait. This helps speed up your application processing time.

# as past experience, DIAC will ask you for your police clearance certificates through mail ( or application status) , and give you a time till they will wait for your response. Then you can share your confirmation / receipt of payment for application of police clearance if you haven't received one till then. The case officer will then respond accordingly.

#A police check is valid for 12 months. In your case, looks like you will have to reapply for clearance.

Hope this helps. All the best.

If it's the same company, or you changed but it's a closely related position, sure they will consider the 5 years.
