Hi,

I am new to this forum. I was searching for a website to clear my doubts regarding Immigration.I would like to congratulate the moderators of this forum for bringing up such a good forum

Myself and my husband are planning to migrate to Australia. We have cleared our ACS assessment last month. We wrote our IELTS exam last week and are waiting for the results

Once we receive positive results from IELTS (which we are hoping ) ,we are planning to file our visa application.I have gone through various articles about immigration, and found that online visa application works faster than the postal one.Could someone provide me some help on this? If yes,is it difficult (I mean the whole procedure-- Filling the online form and later on attaching the documents)?

Thanking you in advance.

Regards,
Erin.

Hi Erin, online is certainly faster (u save on atleast a month that the file takes to reach DIAC) plus if you do apply online, you get a TRN number which can be used off and on to check the movement of your file. I suggest applying online. it is less of a hassle, no attesting documents, scan everything, make pdfs and upload.

if you need further assistance, ask away

cheers

On the scanned docs, I read that it should be of sufficient resolution. My suggestion is to keep the resolution as high as allowed by your scanner but save in JPG format. TIFF is way too huge and can cause technical problems to DIAC (read this on a blog).
