Why would you want to do such a thing?

You can but would need to go through the whole process again at huge expense. You already have PR. You do not need to apply again!

Yes of course but didn't add my parents as my dependent... now I need to go thru parents visa for them which is more expensive and time consuming.

Ok i understand better explanation better than some others give like not wanting to fulfil state sponsorship.

So did you declare them as non migrating dependents on your 190? If not it would be pretty hard to do what you are suggesting.

May be better to look at a few tourist visas then applying onshore for a parent visa if they qualify. Would mean you will need to take care of them 100% as no wirk and no medicare but they would be with you.

Yes i have that option as bringing them in visitors visa but then no medicare! I didn't declare them as non migrating dependents... didn't even mention(their names) about them in my VISA application......

_SHEL, i have a doubt.. incase i apply for 189 VISA by adding my parents into it what will happen to my current PR? will it be cancelled at the time of application or grant? on the contrary if my 189 application failed and visa refused again will it affect my current PR visa? kindly clarify

Non-migrating dependent family members
Does the applicant have any dependent family members not travelling to Australia who are not
Australian citizens or Australian permanent residents?
No

any implications because of this?
