Post medical and police clearance

Hello

I am applying for the skilled immigration. I received the EOI and i am submitting my application next week. What i heard is once i submit the application they will assign the CO within two months. And the CO will ask me to submit for medicals and police clearance. If this is true then they will ask my these documents in October 2013. I think it takes around two more months to get PCC. i.e i will have my PCC by december. If all goes well they will give me the first entry date of december 2014. I am really not keen to enter Australia in december 2014. Is there way i can delay the medical and PCC? Or there is a specific time frame the CO will give to submit these two documents? I mean can i just submit them may 2014 so i get first entry date as May 2015 instead of december 2014? Earliest response is appreciated.

Once a CO gets assigned and asks for documents, you have 28 days to provide and upload the documents. If the documents are not ready by then, you would need to show proof that you have applied for these documents.

Going by this, I do not think you can delay the PCC / Medicals till May 2014. Indian PCC can be obtained on the same day if your current address and passport address are the same. Otherwise, I think it takes about a month.

My advise is if you want to push the entry date, why don't you wait for a while to file your application. If you have received the invite, it is valid for 2 months and you can file your application anytime within this period.

If anybody else has a better option, I would like to know as well.
