Default After 4 Years of Btech I have 5 years of exp, So will ACS reduce my first 2 years

Hi,

I have done my Btech in computer engineering major, and have a total of 5 years of exp.
2 years as software engineer and 3 years as software quality engineer and i will be applying as "Software Engineer" evaluation.

I want to know as i read in some threads ACS will deduct my first 2 years of experience and will only consider the other 3.

Please guide me through this, If anyone has faced a same issue.

Thanks

Yes, you will lose 2 years of work exp.

Just plan your application like you have 3 years of work exp.

I don't think designation matters, your roles and responsibilities do.

I'm too sure though.

I also have a similar concern;

I am a marketing a sales manager with over 15 years of progressive management experience in sales and marketing. Now I am in process of applying for 190 visa in the capacity of Sales and Marketing Manager 131112 .

I have received positive work experience assessment from AIM, however, in the assessment AIM has accepted my current working experience of about 3 years and 8 months as a senior functional manager role. Other than that I have a progressive management experience of over 15 years in the sales and marketing domain which although does not fit in with the AIM criteria but is part of my career in the same field.

The question I have is, will DIBP consider my whole career experience or only the experience of senior function manager as assessed by AIM while evaluating for experience assigning skillselect points if I receive invitation to apply from SA?

DIBP will usually only consider experience AFTER you are considered qualified by the skills assessor, so 3 years + 8 months in your situation.
