Default Trade occupations?

Hello,

I was wondering if Bachelors Degree is compulsory for anyone and everyone looking to migrate to Australia.

Can someone with high school and five years relevant trade experience migrate to Australia under skilled migration?

Any one...

Thanks

No it depends on the occupation. Most trade trade occupations require a college qualification or an apprenticeship.

What is your occupation?

Hi shel,

Actually i got confused with trade and general professional occupations.

My occupation code is (612115 Real Estate Representative), when i see this at Vetassess website its under group D, which says -

Group D Occupations require a qualification assessed as comparable to the educational level of an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Certificate III or IV, in a field highly relevant to the nominated occupation, and post-qualification employment.

Now, i assume certificate III and IV are not graduate degrees, am i getting it right? I thought certificate is lesser than bachelor degree.

I have 5 years experience and have studied high school , does that make me qualify?

Can you advice me

Thanks

No high school does not equal a certificate iv which is about 3 years above high school but less than a degree. it is a vocational qualification in the field giving specialist knowledge and understanding of the field.

No....your hig school certificate is not enough....you must hold some trade certificate issued by authorized or recognised institute/university..........In here......DIAC generally consider ITI OR SOME DIPLOMAS......

Hope this would help you.

ITI is assessed by Vetassess not EA.

Also you need one year apprenticeship after two years of ITI.

Not sure ITI+Diploma alone will be considered by Vetassess. Vetassess may also request apprenticeship I think. Please cross check with experts.
