Smile Staying in after scholarships

Hi expats.I want to know whether an international student who is under a scholarship can stay in Australia after completion of study?There were old rules that we have to leave Australia for a period of two years after study?Is it applicable now a days?And which subclass visa get applied for a sponsored student?is it the same subclass 500?

This condition applies to the ones that got the scholarship attached with a contract saying one has to go back to home country for 2 years after study. If your scholarship does not have this type of contract, then you don't have to go back and you can apply for postgraduate visa 485 if applicable. Also DHA is fully aware of this type of scholarship conditions.
