Default exemption to leave Australia

hi,

Any PR or Citizen have been successful in obtaining an exemption to leave Australia ? any idea what's the turnaround time? i just got my UK visa approved.

I had plans to migrate to UK before all that covid stuffs happened.

I am an Aus citizen btw.

From watching news on telly, it seems the rejection rates are very high and unless you have a compelling reason to travel, it is generally denied. The turnaround time is approximately 7 days.

Having a mere Visa may not help your case. Do you have any strong grounds to travel?

yeah i believe so. my wife is there, i have resigned from my job and sold my belongings.
