Question IELTS Indicator for 189 Visa

Hi all, hope everyone is staying safe. I am interested in applying for immigration with subclass 189 , and am currently located in the USA. I had a question regarding the English competency requirement. I recently re-filed a new EOI with spouse points, however my IELTS test score expired since it has been 3 years since i took the IELTS general. Currently, all IELTS testing is suspended in the USA and so i am not able to re-take it here. I know that right now, IELTS is offering the internet-based IELTS indicator test, but have not found any information online on whether this is acceptable for EOI purposes.

Does anyone here know if IELTS indicator is accepted? I looked into TOEFL IBT too, but to get marked "Superior" in that, it seems you need to get full marks on a lot of the sections, which i feel is going to be very tough.

Thanks all!

Indicator means just to determine your level. I think you should wait a lil bit and check again with the centers. I have friends in the US and just told me many establishments have started to lift the lockdown, so I guess the same will happen for IELTS centers.

Hi! no, unfortunately, it is not a proper substitute regarding immigration purposes,it is clearly mentioned on British Council web-site. so, you should wait till the restrictions will be eased...

ok thank you friend! I am instead going for PTE Academic, which they are still offering here in US, and seems easier than IELTS
