Default Can you live outside Australia after visa 309 grant

Hi All

My wife recently got her sub class 309 granted. She is still in my home country and waiting to come soon.

Due to a personal reasons and a job offer in my home country I am hoping to go and live in there for about 2 years. I have following 3 questions.

1. Can my wife come to Australia just to activate her 309 visa and go back and live with me for this duration?

2. Will living outside Australia affect her subsequent PR (sub class 100) ?

3. When exactly is my wife eligible for sub class 100? Is it two years from the date I lodged for 309/100. OR. two years from the date she got her 309 grant letter?

Hope you could kindly clarify/ amswer these questions.

Thank you

Nick

1. YES
2. The DHA website doesnít show any restrictions that you should have lived in Australia only
But consult a Mara agent without fail to be sure

3. From the date you lodged the 309 application
You can apply 23 months after the date you applied

Cheers
