Default Salary on ABN

Hi All,

I am a structural engineer. Please guide me if my current experience and following proofs would suffice the 1-year work requirement for claiming 5 points?

Currently being on 485 visa, I am working on ABN part-time (20 hours per week)with my current employer. What I have done to prove my work is following:

1. My salary comes to my Bank account monthly.
2. I have made the invoices of the same amount mentioning my ABN of exactly the same amount that gets into my account (as salary from my employer).
3. I can show bank statement showing same salary credits
4. Since registered with ABN but my annual income is less than 75,000 AUD hence unable to register for GST and cant obtain BAS (Business Activity Statement). Therefore paying taxes as a sole trader on my ABN income i.e. Tax proof on my ABN income.
6. I have a contract from my employer that I can show to prove my 20 part-time hours.

So in a nutshell, I can provide the following documents:

- ABN
- Tax proof
- Invoices or salary slips from employer
- Monthly Time-sheets
- Bank Statements
- Contract with the employer which clearly shows that I am working 20 hours and I am an independent contractor

Is it that the above should suffice the requirement? Or is their anything else I need to do? Will my above work experience count towards claiming 5 points towards my PR?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Have you completed your skills assessment?
Did you get the experience assessed also ?

Cheers

Hi,

I have got my skill assessment done already but not experience. But I am positive that it is going to be positive as well.

If you are positive that it’s going to be positive, then what’s the problem ?
If you don’t want to take a risk, get the experience assessed separately

Cheers

I am just curious to know that there won't be any issue if I am getting my salary on ABN?

There is nothing called curious
Either you are sure or you are not
If having doubts, get the assessment done

Cheers
