Default Bridging visa on bridging visa

Hi Immigration gurus,

My current visa expires at the end of the month. I am thinking of applying for a tourist visa so I can continue staying here. My employer's HR department will apply for my 482 visa somewhere in early/mid March but it can only be after my tourist visa. I was wondering if the bridging visa issued for the tourist visa will be overriden by a new bridging visa for 482? If not, how long will I have to leave Australia and will this have any effect on my future visa applications (awaiting invite for 189 ). Also, will the bridging visas have full working rights?

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

You're not providing much info. Start with what visa are you on now? What country are you from?

It's really hard to get a tourist visa after being on a 485.
Bridging visa usually has the same conditions as the one that you're on now (so will be the same as 485), however you might be granted student visa quickly. And you might get a No Further Stay condition.

Contact a agent to see your options.
