Default RRV and Bridging visa

I have seen in several forums that people including MARA agents suggesting for Bridging visa to RRV applicants who need to go offshore and don't have time to wait for grant letter. However, in my experience I didnt find any way to apply for BVA or BVB online. When I called immigration I was told that as a PR, I cant apply for any bridging visa.
Is there anyone who came out success applying for Bridging visa on paper? Or Its jut a myth that RRV applicants can apply for BVs?

It is totally wrong information you have got
No bridging visa is ever issued to PR holders
You will directly get a RRV if you are eligible

Cheers

Excerpt from a MARA agent,
"An RRV application is not an automatic application for a bridging visa, so you will need to make a separate application for a Bridging Visa A (BVA) based on the RRV application and once you have that you can apply for a Bridging visa B (BVB) which will allow you to travel and return to Australia."
