Default Reapplying Qatar PCC

Hello Friends,
I need to re-apply for my Qatar PCC for sponsoring spouse visa. I did my Qatar PCC earlier (while I was in Qatar) as part of my PR application 3 years ago but it is no longer valid.

Can anyone please guide me with below queries on obtaining Qatar PCC from Australia?

1. I have a friend in Qatar who is willing to get my PCC on my behalf if I give him power of attorney for the same. Is this option faster than applying PCC from Canberra Embassy in Australia?

2. As I am re-applying for PCC, I have not been asked for finger prints. As far as I know most people applying Qatar PCC have gone through finger prints . Can anyone please confirm that finger prints won't be required for obtaining PCC as re-applicants?

Thanks in advance.

Hi mate,
if you don't live there for 12 month after your old PCC, you don't basically needa new PCC, as far as I know.
Applying through Canberra would take 3-4 months, at least. Please ask one of your friends to go to PCC department, near industrial area, and get your QID number, they will do it for him, without even power of attorney, just let them explain the details..

- No fingerprints are required, as an ex-resident..

Thanks
