Default 457 to Student Visa

Hi guys, I am wondering if anyone has experience with applying for a student visa after holding a 457/482 visa.

I have recently been made redundant by my employer. I'll have 60 days to find a new one. I want to have a plan B which will allow me to extend my stay in NSW. I lodged my EOI (marketing specialist) for NSW 190 visa in September and now I am waiting with 90+5 points.

I've studied an Australian bachelor's degree in the past. So, the next logical step would be to study a master's degree. However, it requires a lot of time and money and I think it's not worth it.

So, I am considering to study a graduate certificate (6 months) or diploma (1 year) course which still has a higher AQF and not that time and money consuming as a master's degree.

Would really appreciate any advice on that. Thank you.
