Default Claim 2 years Australia study points for 189

Hi,
I just finished my last exam for my 2years course. I have few question:

- Can i start updating the Skillselect right away and claim 5 point? or do i have to wait for my university to declare my result and then update it?.
My university declares result only in 16th of december 2019. I will miss the 11th December selection if i wait for it.

Can any one give me a right direction?
Thank You

I claimed points for meeting the Australian Study Requirement in 2018, and you can only claim points for doing so after you receive your final results aka completion letter (not graduation which may be many months later).

It is a common mistake to apply early (e.g. with 485 applicants) for folks who need to meet the same requirement and who then get rejected.

I would definitely wait till 16/12 before claiming 5 points here in your EOI.

You can clarify with ISCAH / MARA agents that provide a free consultation like New Star Migration Canberra.

You need to verify your degree first, what is your occupation? Degree verification takes 1 year exp in the field you studied or Professional Year. You cannot claim points for your degree without verification from ACS, EA or Vetassess.

If you already have a bachelors degree verified from the above then you can claim 15 points for your Bachelors degree, 5 pts for Aus study and 5 points for regional. After 16/12

If you have no degree verified then you cannot submit EOI

You can only claim it on the day you receive completion letter. Finishing your study doesn't guarantee that you complete it.

It's quite painful, but you have to wait.
