Default November chnages for 189 and 190

Hi AlL,

I have 75 points for Aus PR. I have applied for ACS and waiting for results.

My Wife is in HR domain and doesnot come under same skills assessment (I belong to IT).

I have the following queries:

1) From few articles (not authentic), came to know that with November changes, spouse can add upto 5 points for both 189 and 190 VISAs by completing English test(PTE). Is it true ?

2) If (1) is true, is 50 and above marks are enough for spouse in PTE for contributing 5 points ?

3) Since, with Nov changes, there seems some points for Bachelors too. In that case, Do I stand a decent chance for getting 189 PR ?

Thanks a lot for the support in advance .

Cheers

>> No chance in 189 for a few months atleast. Very hard to predict 189 scores at this point but expect it to be sky high.

Thanks a lot for the support in advance .

You can still claim points for spouse even if your spouse is not in IT
As long as she has a positive assessment in any code thatís under MLTSSL, itís good enough to claim points

Now your questions
1. Thatís correct
2. She needs to get a competent English score in PTEA which is at least 50 each in LRSW or equivalent
3. No idea

Cheers

Hi @montylee @NB

Thanks a lot for the quick response !!!!!

Hi @NB

"As long as she has a positive assessment in any code that’s under MLTSSL, it’s good enough to claim points"

>> As per the November rule, spouse can contribute 5 or 10 points if they are in different Skill categories ?

I stand by what I wrote earlier
Any mltssl ANZSCO code positive assessment , competent English and below 45 years age is sufficient for you to claim spouse points under 189
At present itís 5 but will go upto 10 after 26 November . Nothing else changes as far as who can claim points is concerned

Cheers
