Default Extending 189 subclass PR

Hi Everyone,
I have got 189 PR around 5 years back. My PR is going to expire end of this December, 2019.

I stayed only for a couple of weeks in Australia, and could not live further because of my marriage and kids and other things.

Due to some personal reasons, i am not sure if i would be moving to Australia before my PR expiry..

Is there any way i could extend my PR?

Thanks in advance for any help!

-Venkat

You can apply for a RRV but I donít see you getting one for more then 3 months validity

Talk to a Mara agent, maybe they have some trick up their sleeve
But to be frank unless you move to Australia soon for at least a couple of years, the PR is as good as dead

Cheers

You need to have lived in Australia for 4 years without being out for more then a year in that period
So probably earliest would be 3 years from when you come provided you don’t leave even for a day after that
There is more then a years delay currently after application
So you are looking at least 4 years to becoming a citizen

Cheers
