Default Visitor Visa 600 for Parents

Hi,

I am in Australia on PR for last 4 months. I want to bring my parents on visit visa. I want to get visit visa for 1 year (long stay where they can live for 12 months in 18 months). How can i get this visa, what documents are required and conditions. What a are chances of getting 1 year visa, I have heard from a lot of people saying that first time they will give 3 month visa.

You cannot sponsor them until you have lived for 2 years in Australia
They will have to apply on their own credentials for a tourist visa
If they can show strong roots in their home country they can get a year visa
It ultimately depends on the case officer

Cheers

You should apply for 3 years
Let the CO decide the period he wants to give
He may give anywhere from 3 months to 3 years or reject it based on the strength of your application

Buy the insurance and tickets only when you have the visa in hand

Cheers
