Default Highlight bank statements using pdf editor

I have read many posts advising to highlight the salary credited in bank statements during visa application stage.
Is it okay to highlight them using a pdf editor after the document is scanned?

Or should I highlight them in the paper before scan. I know this sounds like a silly question, but the doubt I have is whether highlighting the scanned documents is considered as tampering?

Regards,
Nilmi

Will there be any problem if someone forgets to highlight the salary part?

No, not really. But if there is time for you to highlight the salary line in your bank statement, you can do that as well.

If there are not too many other entries in the statement, then no issues
Itís just a courtesy to the CO so that his job becomes easier

Hi, can you advise at which visa stage exactly are bank statements required to be uploaded? Or are they only submitted upon request by CO?

Bank statement showing salary credits are a very important third party evidence
They should be uploaded initially only
Donít wait for the co to ask

Cheers
