Default 189 visa - general queries

Hello all,

I apologise up front if these questions have been answered in previous threads, I have trawled through but not able to find a clear answer and any clarity would be appreciated.

I am currently going through the EOI form and have a couple queries:

My partner and I are engaged and wish to apply for 189 visa, both our jobs are on the skilled migrant list. What is the process to apply?
1. Do we both apply separately for the 189 visa as we are not married yet?
2. Does one of us apply and select "Are there any family members the client would like to include in a future application? - and select Spouse/de facto"

We both would like to apply for PR visa but not clear if we need to apply individually or together

Thank you in advance

Thanks NB, this is where I actually started, a lot of really valuable information.

The 189 invite - How to proceed is not 100% clear to me. Is it saying, if myself and partner wanted to apply for 189 visa, one of us would apply as the primary and my partner would be classed as Additional applicant over 18?

Thank you

That’s correct
But you would need to prove that you are in a genuine relationship and are living together even if you are not married
You can google and check the evidence required for a de facto relationship

Cheers

Hi T11uyn,

For de facto relationship - Have a look at this: https://www.expatforum.com/expats/au...l#post14767450
