Default Confusion about partner skills and points

Hi all

Can I please request some clarification on partner skills.

I am 9yr experience in software development and planning to apply for 189. English score (L R S W)
9 9 8.5 7.5

My wife is software tester with english score (L R S W) 8 8.5 7.5 6.5

I am not sure if i will get 5 points for partner with current rules, as she has different occupation than mine.

Any clarification or information on partner skills will be highly appreciated.

Thanks
M.

Different occupations also you can claim points but as long as both are on MLTSSL
Unfortunately your wife is in stosl so you can claim points only under 190 and not under 189

Cheers

Thanks again for your reply NB

I am new to the process hence do not understand MLTSSL AND STOSL

I am only aware of two lists, SOL and CSOL, I will search about these two or if you can point me towards the right resource that would be great.

Thanks
M.
