Default ACS Experience Calculation

Hi,

I have two queries:
1) did btech IT in 2008-> 2 years gap->got job in 2010-> change job in 2012
total experience 8.8 years as of now. Will ACS deduct 2 years from my experience?? if yes then that means i will loose 5 points.

2) My previous company is not providing experience letter in ACS format. Also it was a small company so no one is available who was throughout with me for whole two years. Now people I know there are those who joined after me.

What should i do?

ACS deducts experience equivalent to an Australian ICT degree. It will depend on what you were studying and whether the deem is as relevant to your career or not. They'll tell you how many years they'll deduct on their guidelines. Its all very transparent and black and white.

There are other means of proving employment. Once again, highlighted in ACS guidelines.

In ACS guidlines its mentioned that one should provide letter of experience from company in specific format or statutory declaration from colleague of previous company. and i dont have both. although i have previous company salary slips but not in company letter head.
